How to Get Your EPP Authorization Code for Domain Transfer

An EPP code (also called Auth Code, Authorization Code, or Transfer Key) is a unique password assigned to your domain. You need it to transfer your domain to another registrar.

What is an EPP Code?

The EPP code is a security measure that proves you own the domain and authorize its transfer. It is typically 8-16 characters containing letters, numbers, and symbols.

How to Get Your EPP Code from Ahosting

  1. Log into the Ahosting Client Area
  2. Go to Domains then My Domains
  3. Click on the domain you want to transfer
  4. Look for Get EPP Code or Authorization Code
  5. The code will be displayed or emailed to your registered email address

Important Notes

  • EPP codes are case-sensitive — copy them exactly
  • Some codes expire after a few days; request a new one if needed
  • Your domain must be unlocked before the transfer will work
  • The domain must be at least 60 days old to transfer

Cannot Find Your EPP Code?

If you cannot locate the EPP code option:

  1. Check that your domain is unlocked
  2. Contact support via live chat or ticket
  3. Verify you are logged into the correct account

Security Tip: Never share your EPP code with anyone except the registrar you are transferring to. Treat it like a password.
